The Monmouth Park Charity Fund was established 66 years ago by the late Armory I. Haskell, the late Philip H. Iselin, and fifteen women of influence residing within the Monmouth County vicinity. Seeking a way to thank the community for its support throughout the revival of Monmouth Park Racetrack, this group of men and women proposed the creation of the Monmouth Park Charity Fund, an on-going way to give back to the community. The mission of the Monmouth Park Charity Fund remains the same today as it was back in 1946: “to raise and distribute funds to nonprofit agencies in Monmouth County that provide services for healthcare, those at risk in the community and those in need of special services.” (mpcharityfund.org)
This year, Parker Family Health Center became one of the more than 100 service organizations in Monmouth County who have benefited from Monmouth Park Charity Fund’s efforts. The Charity Fund hosts several fundraising events throughout the year. This year’s events included the Annual Winner’s Circle Fashion Show held at Monmouth Park Racetrack, the 1st Annual Summer Soiree, and the 10th Annual Kentucky Derby Day Celebration. Since its inception in 1947, the Monmouth Park Charity Fund has donated almost 9 million dollars to local organizations serving the health and special service needs of the community.
