Smile for Life Donation

Once again, Dr. Mitchel Friedman of Newman Springs Dental brought big smiles to Parker Family by participating  in this year’s Smiles For Life Campaign.  For several months each year, Crown Council dentists, a national alliance of dentists committed to charitable works, offer tooth whitening services at reduced cost to their patients. Ultradent, makers of Boost and Opalescence®, donates the teeth whitening materials. The dentists contribute their time and staff and all proceeds from these tooth whitening services are forwarded to the Smiles For Life Foundation.

Half the donations received by Smiles For Life Foundation are distributed to national and international organizations supporting seriously ill, disabled, and underprivileged children. The other half of the proceeds go to local children’s charities named by the participating dentists.  For the fifth year in a row, Dr. Friedman choose Parker Family Health Center as his named beneficiary for his Campaign donations.

In 2013, 68 children were treated at Parker Family through the Center’s dental program. Over twenty local dentists volunteer their services to Parker either through on-site visits or through Parker’s dental referral program.
