Just over a year ago, Jon Bon Jovi and friends put on a show at “The Basie” to benefit Parker Family Health Center. In addition to selling out the Count Basie Theatre, the concert offered live stream tickets to other Bon Jovi fans throughout the world. One such fan, Jan Hicks from  Alberta, Canada, took advantage of the simulcast to enjoy her favorite performer. Lucky for Parker Family, Jan also took the time to research the event’s beneficiary and has been a supporter of Parker Family ever since. In Jan’s own words:

As a dedicated volunteer in Edmonton for the past 50 years with schools, sport groups, hospitals, shelters and food kitchens, I know the importance of lending a hand and making financial donations. The work done at the Parker Family Health Center is so important….JBJ may have caught my attention for the evening, however the Center caught my attention for years to come…

On her recent vacation to the States, Jan stopped off in Red Bank to meet the staff at Parker Family and tour the facility. Jan’s visit was capped off with a delicious dinner hosted by Parker staff and held at the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen!
