RED BANK MAYOR BILLY PORTMAN'S WELLNESS INITIATIVE

Thirty community organizations came together at St. Anthony of Padua's gymnasium in late November to celebrate the Mayor's Wellness Initiative. The pre-Thanksgiving event offered games, entertainment, health checks, COVID-19 vaccinations, flu shots, and Thanksgiving fixings. Over 500 people attended the event with 120 households receiving a Thanksgiving turkey and trimmings!

HOLIDAY MADE IN MONMOUTH EVENT

Another great turnout for the Monmouth County Commissioners Holiday Made in Monmouth event held December 9th at the Robert J. Collins Arena at Brookdale Community College. Over 200 vendors welcomed thousands from throughout the area and Parker Family, along with Brookdale's new Wellness Center and Ritesh Shah's Charitable Pharmacy, were on hand to greet them all!

TWO RIVER THEATER HOLIDAY POP UP

|
Wrapping up our Holiday events, Parker tabled at Two River Theater's Holiday Pop-Up held on December 16th. Guests enjoyed a smorgasbord of holiday gift selections along with snacks, games, live music, and shared resources!

|
Parker's Holiday Gift Giving program was a huge success thanks to all our wonderful donors and volunteers! Special thanks to Sari and friends at Flames of Giving, St. Gabriel's Church in Marlboro, Tom, Dick, and Friends of JJ, and our outstanding volunteers Paulette Rubino, Kate Andrews, and Sue Richman!

All in, Parker distributed over 75 bags of food, clothing, toys, and household items making spirits bright!
|
|
|
Declan Wessels is 12 years old and the grandson of Parker volunteer Paulette Rubino. Declan created his own toy drive campaign, going door to door and online in support of Parker's Holiday Gift Giving program! Declan also volunteers at Parker's monthly Fulfill event when school holidays allow.

Special thanks to Dr. James McGuinness (left), Parker's Medical Director Emeritus, and Dr. J. Gordon Boak, Sr., PFHC Board member, for bringing two separate grant opportunities to Parker. The clinic received two substantial grants because of the doctors' associations with different medical affiliations.
|
|
|
Through a collaboration of the Count Basie Center Board of Trustees and Bank of America, Parker was selected for the Count Basie Center Giving Year Award for October. In addition to the generous $15,000 award, Parker and friends benefitted from free tickets to Basie shows throughout the award-winning month!

A great day for our golfing friends when Parker honored Pastor Terrence Porter from Pilgrim Baptist Church and Dr. Roy Carman, Parker volunteer and former Parker Medical Director, at this year's 13th Annual Golf Outing. This year's event was held at Beacon Hill Country Club and included a chance for a free car donated by Schwartz Mazda in Shrewsbury! Click here for event photos!

Parker continues to receive outstanding support from community members for its Capital Campaign. Just recently, Mary Burke, CEO and President of Heritage House Sotheby's International Realty, stopped by to tour the construction progress and contribute to its 5 million dollar goal!
