Nearly 100 participants in this year’s Parker golf outing were greeted with a warm, sunny day. The Navesink links were beautifully groomed and a pleasure to play. Following the golf portion of the event, our players were treated with cocktails, a sumptuous buffet dinner, and a bounty of glorious prizes. Prizes included a gift card for Lusty Lobster in Highlands, plus golf packages at area clubs, such as Navesink, Manasquan River, and Eagle Oaks, as well as two foursomes at Due Process.

Here’s a look at this year’s outstanding golfers:

Topping the field in the special events competition were Sue Dahabsu and Alex Papcavase with long drives, both monster shots. Closest to the line awards were garnered by Nancy DelPriore for the women, and Chris Tamayo for the men. The sharpshooting Petillo family won the closest to the hole awards with Gina at 30’ and Robert at 13’ 1”. Ed Reitzel captured the putting contest prize.

The team competition was hotly contested. The mixed team crown went to Carol Graham, Danielle Graham-Lyons, Drew Lyons, and Peter Graham. Peter, of Navesink Wealth Management, along with John Horl, Parker’s Treasurer and former Vice President, were this year’s honorees.

Heading the field in the women’s team category was Gina Petillo, Lilian Bertoldo, Mary Fenton, and Karen San Filippo. Second place for the women went to Ingrid Tyler, Nancy Gulick, Ann White and Joan Forsyth.

The men’s team division saw Steve Tyler, Fred Roemer, Doug Forsyth and Bernie Murphy emerge victorious. Second place went to Jay Cosgrove, Robert Cosgrove, Charlie Boeddinghaus Sr. and Charlie Boeddinghaus Jr. Close behind in third place for the men were Matthew Cheslock, Gary Woodward, Steve DePalo, and Doug Raynor.

This year’s outing was another wonderful experience for its participants and supporters, and once again, a huge success for Parker. We all eagerly anticipate next year’s event!
