VACCINES NOW AVAILABLE!

Parker is now offering vaccines in conjunction with Pilgrim Baptist Church. The five-day-a-week program, created by a partnership involving the clinic, Monmouth County government, and Pilgrim Baptist Church, aims to increase vaccine access to vulnerable residents.

Vaccines will be given by appointment to healthcare personnel; long-term care residents and staff; first responders, individuals ages 65 and older; and individuals aged 16 to 64 with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus. To schedule an appointment, eligible recipients should call the Parker center at (732) 212-0777, or Pilgrim Baptist Church at (848) 260-9076.

Parker staff celebrates the holidays!!

Parker recently took some time out to thank staff and celebrate the season. Most years the staff party is held off site but this year, with the help of a few elves, the clinic sported some beautiful festive wreaths, holiday planters, and even a few golden shimmering trees. A BOOtiful Halloween at Red Bank Sickles!

New Hypertension Program

Parker announces a new, six-month bilingual program, created and managed by volunteer cardiologist Dr. Vivian Kominos. The program will help hypertensive patients achieve blood pressure goals through an integrative and lifestyle medicine approach. Patients learn how to properly measure BP at home and are taught ways to reduce stress, sleep better, and exercise smarter. They also receive individual nutrition counseling from the clinic dietician.

Parker Launches Long Awaited EMR

An electronic medical records system (EMR) has been on Parker’s Wish List for quite some time. The COVID-19 pandemic bought home the importance of an EMR as many of Parker’s volunteer providers were required to work from home and needed access to patient records. Parker signed up with an EMR platform this summer and went live in August. DETOUR GALLERY - A NIGHT OUT FOR THE PARKER FAMILY HEALTH CENTER

Parker Family Health Center (PFHC) kicked off its 20th Anniversary celebration year on Thursday, February 20th, with a special night out held at Detour Gallery in Red Bank. Over one hundred longtime Parker supporters and new friends gathered together to enjoy this unique art space generously donated for the evening by owner Ken Schwartz.

Parker took this opportunity to introduce the new Executive Director, Suzy Dyer, Esq., a first for Parker Family Health Center. PFHC Board Co-Chair John Horl spoke first about Ms. Dyer and this new position followed by NJ Senator Vince Gopal, who presented Suzy with congratulations and a NJ Senate and General Assembly Citation. Red Bank Councilmen Ed Zipprich and Hazim Yassin also offered words of welcome. Ms. Dyer brings a strong medical and legal background to PFHC, having served as Chief Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer at Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central, and Southern New Jersey and as Assistant U.S. Attorney, Civil Division, for the District of New Jersey.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

One hundred volunteers and friends showed up for this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Dinner held Thursday, January 16th, at Europa Grill in Shrewsbury. This lively event brought together volunteer doctors, nurses, interpreters and other helpers with the PFHC core staff and Board members. John Horl, PFHC Board Co-Chair, followed by Dr. James McGuinness, PFHC Medical Director and Mary Nicosia, PFHC Clinic Director, all took turns thanking the volunteer group for their dedication and support over these past twenty years. The evening also provided the volunteers the opportunity to meet PFHC’s new executive director, Suzy Dyer. Special thanks to Louis Rodriguez, PFHC Board member, and his wife Roxy for sharing these wonderful photos.

Young Professionals Halloween Bash

The PFHC Young Professionals, launched this past spring by PFHC volunteer Nausheen Husain (second from right), hosted their Halloween Bash at The Downtown in Red Bank on Tuesday, October 29th. Two winning baskets of cheer were awarded for best costumes, and a Downtown Gift Certificate went to the lucky winner of the business card drawing.

Parker Family Health Center Gala 2019

Parker Family Health Center friends came out to celebrate at this year’s Gala 2019. Held at the elite Navesink Country Club in Middletown, the PFHC Gala 2019 honored Jeremy Grunin, President of the Grunin Foundation and Grunin Holdings; Dr. Ken Grossman, local dermatologist and long time Parker Family supporter; and The Docs of Rock, a talented, philanthropic group of musicians /doctors. Proclamations and plaques were awarded to all the honorees by Parker Family Health Center’s Co-Chairs Gina Petillo and John Horl, and Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso. A live auction and presentation about the clinic’s successful diabetes program were followed up with lively music by Guilty Pleasures.

PFHC Golf 2019 - Our Winners!

Postponed by June rainstorms, the PFHC 10th Annual Golf Outing teed up on Monday, August 26th, and all agreed it was well worth the wait! Held at the challenging Navesink Country Club in Middletown, this year’s golfers enjoyed a glorious day of sunshine, great food, and wonderful camaraderie. Tournament winners included the event’s honoree, John F. Lloyd, Retired Co-CEO at Hackensack Meridian, along with his partners Maureen Lloyd, and Peter and Dale Wegener, who all together won 1st Place for Mixed Foursome.

National Night Out Brings New Friends

Parker Family Health Center made some new friends at National Night Out Against Crime in Red Bank. Held at Count Basis Fields on Tuesday, August 6th, the event drew crowds of local families out to enjoy the games, free food, and a look at this year’s special feature…an inside look at a real helicopter! The Amboy Foundation Supports Parker Family Health Center

Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade

Parker Family Health Center volunteers stepped it up at this year’s Rumson St. Patrick’s Day . A lively crowd cheered the volunteers on from the west side of Rumson all the way to Val’s Tavern on the east side.
