Sneakers and Back Packs for the Kids!

It was a joyful afternoon at Count Basie Fields as Lunch Break hosted its annual Community Day—a gathering that brought together organizations, volunteers, families, and children for a celebration filled with games, food, activities, and community resources.

Parker was proud to join in by giving out over 300 pairs of sneakers to children of all ages. Paired with Lunch Break’s rainbow of backpacks, the result was a field full of bright colors and big smiles. After receiving backpacks collected and distributed by Lunch Break, more than 300 children of all ages picked out brand-new sneakers in every color of the rainbow. Our volunteers were awesome, working tirelessly to set up all the sneaks and patiently helping each child find their perfect fit!

Special thanks to the many individuals who donated funds or sneakers and a special shout out to Flames of Giving, Bank of America, Sue and Chuck Richman, Dr. Timothy P. Sullivan, Ellen Egan, Ellen Hulme, Sue Pierce, and Cathy Rubino.
